December

Man oh man December was BUSY, not only work life but at home life too. Evans birthday, My Birthday, Christmas Break and Christmas came and went in the blink of an eye. Funny that’s how fast life has been moving since lightning speed. I cannot believe our son, our little guy, is already 3, seems like just last week we were wondering when he was going to arrive. To that point, it seems like just 2 weeks ago I was making Maddie warm milkey as she watched morning cartoons, when she was just 2 years old.

Goodness Evan is 3, Evan is 3 and he is everything I have ever hoped for in a son and so so so much more. He’s smart; I know all parents say that but he really is, not just intelligence smart but he’s clever and observative. He makes jokes, based on situations he’s in and he does it constantly what’s more is I find it hilarious; not because its Evan and its cute  but because what he says actually appeals to my sense of humor. He’s thoughtful, he offers me, and all of us really, his snack, his drinks his clothes his toys; well sometimes his toys J and he does it without expecting anything in return. He’s sweet quick to give a hug and a kiss quick to say you need to go to the “doptor” when you sneeze and so quick to call for a family hug, or as he says “hug-a-nuggle”. He’s wild climbs everything, loves to wrestle, jump off of things, and just run wild in the yard. And now he’s 3 it’s so surreal I may have written this before but, it definitely bears repeating, I had spent many days on deployment all over the world wondering what this part of my life would be like, hoping for a son and thinking about all of the things I would teach him and he would do; wondering what he would look like, how he would behave, what his personality would be like.  Never, ever did I imagine a child as perfect as our son; he had a great birthday lots of Dinosaurs, trucks cake and ice-cream with friends and family in attendance.  What a blissful 3 years I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him.
