Seal Beach California! Another great trip in the books!

Sand, sunshine, walks to Main Street, trips to the beach, Disneyland, nicks burritos, time with Papa Ron, and just hanging in Lola’s back yard. Seal Beach is a little slice of heaven carved out in the sometimes complicated always busy life in the fast lane, well any lane really lol.

How sweet it is to escape the hustle and bustle (not to mention work) of D.C and slip in to swim suits and hit the beach. Speaking of the beach these kids are water bugs, they loved the walks down to the beach and on the sand to the surf. We would fly kites, make sand castles, and splash around for hours.

Disney was amazing as usual Evans reactions to Mickey Mouse and Buzz Light year were precious. Sissy liked seeing Chewbacca and running through Toon Town. We spent 10 hours there, lol, even got to see the evening fireworks display.

It was a sweet trip.

Back in Virginia we played 9 holes with Maddie, picked out granite for our kitchen renovation, set new cabinets over the new hickory hardwood floors, caught a few movies at the theater and spent a little one on one time with Evan while Maddie took a vacation.

These 2; these silly, fun loving, complex, thoughtful, loving 2 are the sweetest thing. Their love and zest for life fill my soul full of love and that warm California sun shine. Feeling washes over my body.

They are the best the sweetest. What a fortunate life we live.
